If you guys want to draw people in, for the first few months the game is up just make all guns and loot very common. such as snipers and ARs. Most people here have already went through 5+ emulators that all failed and we all lost a lot of guns and stuff. No one wants to go through all of that again with the fear of everything being wiped. Thats just my advice to you. If i see loot is common and i dont have to spend 20+ hours looting just to go a some what decent GI ill give it a shot.
GL :)

Loot is actually very common, but snipers aren't. You can easily walk out of the airport with 10+ guns, and maybe 1 or 2 rares. Meds and gear is not hard to come by whatsoever.

I completely see your point that people don't want their time to be wasted, but our very first patch dates back to September of 2016, which shows that we are not just going offline without reason.

I really urge you to give us a chance. It will take you no more than 30 minutes to get in-game (assuming you have an OK download speed).

I like that, focus on this more! Farming zombies for XP/Hardened is shit these days, I'd much prefer to have "quests" to do to get what I want :D

We just pushed out patch #2, read the patch notes: https://daysafterdead.com/forum/index.php?threads/patch-2.372/

We also reached 20 online players today!

And a fun fact, there have been 0 server crashes since we released.

2 important things coming with the next patch are:
  • Many crash fixes, thanks to the crash report fix in patch #2
  • Collect item events
